"Alliance" Barrels

We have created a new barrel “Alliance”, made of French and American Oak in order to marry, on the same wine, the organoleptic characters of both Oaks.

  • « Alliance F » : French Oak staves and American Oak heads, that is a proportion of 80% and 20% respectively. It is mainly used to keep the “terroir” effect, the grape variety and your wine making style. French Oak brings its elegance and its fine character whereas American Oak develops a round middle mouth. This way, wine keeps its typicity, a complex “nez” and a full and long mouth.

  • On the contrary « Alliance A » which is mainly used for warm climate wines, concentrated, with quite a high grade of alcohol, grapes varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cabernet, Merlot …. Wine improves in aromatic power and sucruosity thanks to the American Oak as well as in fine tanins, thanks to the French Oak.
